In India, the lotus flower symbolises Beauty and Wisdom. Its three petals denote the Hindu Trinity – Brama, Vishnu and Shiva – the Creator, the Warden and the Destroyer. 'Heart & Essence' depicts a lotus flower with a central shining star located at the pavilion. The crown of the gemstone is covered by interlocking triangles that surround a central point representing the Shri Yantra – the Queen of all Yantras, the source of all energy, power, and creativity. In Vedic tradition, the design is regarded as the manifestation of the Universe.
A golden scapolite reminiscent of the sun was chosen for the design, since the Sun is a symbol of the Guru, Teacher in Hinduism.
